Currently it is very hard to find out an appilcation's binary name (e.g. "Start applications" (= ?), "menu" (= alacarte)). The `Exec` line should at least be provided in the application details opened with right click (if that's still too much information for unexperienced users, provide in in a collapsible "details" panel).
