unity 6.10.0-0ubuntu2, Ubuntu 12.10

1. Switch to a guest session.
2. Open the Dash.
3. Click the Applications button.
4. If the Dash goes blank (1088849), click any other lens button then the Applications button again.

What you see:
* An "Installed" section
* A "More suggestions" section.

What you should see: Only an "Installed" section, because you haven't searched for anything yet.

Fixing this would also lessen (though not fully fix) bug 762449 and bug 846374,
