Bug Description

Steps to Repro:
1. Bring mouse up to the panel (bar at top of screen).
2. Keeping mouse on panel, move it to the left of the screen. The Launcher appears.
3. Now move mouse several cm to the right.

Expected Result:
After a short delay, the Launcher hides.

Actual Result:
Launcher stays visible. It will no go away until you hover the mouse over it, and then move the mouse away.

Its a design issue.
I would like to suggest that we shouldn't reveal the launcher when the mouse is in the Top-Left corner of the panel.
Launcher should be revealed only when the mouse is moved to left hand side border of the screen below the panel.
Should we check with the Ayatana DX team?

In Unity, it works as Lohith suggests. The left of the panel does not summon the Launcher.

We need input from Design on how to proceed.

Lohith's idea is the one approved by design:

Somewhat related bug #839677 says:
"Desired behaviour:
- The Launcher should reveal itself in response to the pointer being positioned *anywhere* on the far left of the screen. This includes the bottom 5 or so pixels on the far left.
- Note that the area occupied by the 'close' window decoration should not reveal the launcher as this would conflict with bug https://bugs.launchpad.net/ayatana-design/+bug/839690

As Gerry identified new way of reproducing this bug.
Have logged a separate lp:892004 for the same.

As a result marking bug as invalid. (Gerry, the reporter of this bug, agreed for the same).
I am going to delete the MR for this bug.

I reproduce this bug in trunk, your merge request fixes this bug, let's keep it as a valid bug.

Sorry, I noticed you said you were going to mark this as invalid, but then didn't. I started it but then realised it's better to keep it.
