Bib, because you are using a default deny for outgoing connections, you will need to add multicast rules to your outgoing policy. While it could be argued that this should be explicitly allowed in the default rules, I would argue that since ufw by default will runs with outgoing connections allowed, when someone actively switches that to denied they intend to do more or less full egress filtering and may intentionally want to disallow this traffic. Thanks for your report, but in the future you will want to open a new bug instead of an existing one.
