Thanks for all your hard work but... I getting the same result:
File /ubuntu-9.10-desktop-i386.iso does not seem to be a valid ISO9660 image
$ file --brief --mime ubuntu-9.10-desktop-i386.iso application/octet-stream; charset=binary
I am running a fresh install of Karmic which was installed from the same ISO file.
I ran: svn export https://uck.svn.sourceforge.net/svnroot/uck/trunk/uck and tried again, same result.
