I have the same problem :
amd athlon 64x2 4400+
asus M2N-MX-SE-PLUS with nvidia chip and integrated graphic card (nvidia 6100)
Sata drive

ubuntu studio 9.04 freeze after a while, often when accessing net (synaptic or firefox) with progressive feeling : wacom tablet stops then the other ps2 mouse ; the display remains the same but nothing works...reboot...

"Normal" jaunty works normally

I've tried both 32 and 64 bit amd install and experienced the same prob....

PLEASE, DO SOMETHING ! I have work to do !
