You did not install just the theme. You also installed -settings. This is most likely why you don't have the icons on the desktop for mounted drives as we turn that off for Studio.
Remove the -settings package. If that doesn't revert the changes look at the "Media" tab in Nautilus's preferences and System->Preferences->Removiable Drives and Media.
