I zsynced to the current version of Ubuntu Studio iso file (dated March 31 20:40), and it is still affected by this bug and the workaround above works.

*So the iso file suffers from a serious bug, and I ask the Ubuntu Studio team to fix it.*

I have also tested the corresponding Ubuntu, Lubuntu and Xubuntu iso files. They are not affected by this bug. It is very obvious that the bug is caused by the problem for grub to identify the lowlatency kernel, that is used by the Ubuntu Studio iso file.
