For what it's worth, I am having the same problem described here. I am using Mint12 on a desktop at work, and on a laptop at home.
"Failed to Synchronize" .....and Details are blank.
As a side note: The Mint12 desktop and work and my TomDroid app on my Android phone are synching just fine. Synching to https:/
