Jono Bacon (jonobacon) wrote : Supress certain file-types from Ubuntu One notify-osd messages

I am currently building the Ubuntu Accomplishments system [1] which uses Ubuntu One to validate these accomplishments. This means that a .trophy file is added to a dir on the client (which is a U1 share) which then syncs to a headless U1 machine where a script validates it, and then it is synced back to the client and my accomplishments daemon displays a notify-osd bubble saying "You accomplished FOO".

The problem is that when the .trophy file is saved to my client dir (which is a share) - U1 pops up a message saying that foo.trophy is syncing to the cloud. Instead I would rather U1 hides all .trophy files that are synced from the notification bubbles - this way the user only ever sees the notification bubbles my accomplishments software displays.

I think this feature is going to be important for developers using Ubuntu One and hiding the guts of which files they are syncing back and forth.

Would it be possible to add this to the roadmap?
