Ubuntu One from 11.10 to Windows 7 fails

Bug Description

Files created in U1/Ubuntu 11.10 do not upload to the cloud, nor downloaded (as a consequence) to U1/Win7.

Although files from U1/Win7 do upload to the cloud, they are not downloaded to U1/Ubuntu 11.10

U1 continues (I reported many times and nothing was improved) to be a big failure, not good for any purposes.

The latency is huge, creation of u1conflict files is random.

I would suggest that instead of U1 Ubuntu offers the (cloud) SSH/SFTP server. Everyone with a small Linux experience will be able to reliably implement the intended U1's functionality in a few minutes.

Worse, U1/Win7 reports ""File sync is up to date" while it is completely false

Hello Sergei,

During the last weeks we've had some serious issues in our servers, that are now resolved.
On the other hand, there is this bug #863398 (which is already fixed in trunk and we're planning on releasing next week), which is causing those Uploads that needed to be retried to never be actually uploaded.

So, when having the this two issues together, uploading files will likely fail, because our servers fails to commit the upload so they respond TRY_AGAIN to our clients, and then they can't re-upload due to the aforementioned bug.

So, I will mark this bug as dup of bug #863398. Please, re-test the Uploads in both windows and linux once we release the fix, and if you still have issues, please open a new bug attaching all your logs from both systems.

Thanks a lot!
Natalia.

Ubutu One is the biggest failure inflicting on the GNU/Linux/Ubuntu public image.

This project should be stopped ASAP to cause no further damage to Linux and Ubuntu.

I am regularly reporting on their big time failures ,just trying to install and run Ubuntu One on different platforms (I would never entrust them my real data though).

Today's installation error (I erased the previous version completely):

"Sorry, an error has occurred and Ubuntu One needs to close. Zimport error: bad local file header in C:Program Files (x86)\ubuntu one\dist\libray.zip"

Could anyone knowledgeable hint the Ubuntu leadership to stop this hackwork?

I take it very seriously and will persist until they stop spoiling the Linux reputation.
