This happens when file is not uploaded yet. The fastest way to simulate this is to do the following:

$ u1sdtool --disconnect
$ touch ~/Ubuntu\ One/bad-file
$ u1sdtool --publish ~/Ubuntu\ One/bad-file

Current natty+nightlies.
