 Not reproduced with the latest version of U1.

But fiddling with the "connect button" in the Nautilus window, while U1
client is running may lead to the same result :
Icon "connected" / Nautilus "disconnected"

Seems that the Nautilus integration applet does not use the same check
than U1 client.
