Same problem with 15.04 x64 since upgrade from 14.10

I've tested all the workarounds mentioned in this thread and sadly no dice.

If I edit the connection configuration files in /etc/NetworkManager/system-connections and change password-flags to 0 + add:
[vpn-secrets]
password=my_password

and restart I am able to connect every single time, but the connection doesn't work (can't reach any hosts)
