Thanks for the info Matt. I am looking into the case.

If you replace:
uid_attribute "ID_SERIAL"

with:
getuid_callout "/lib/udev/scsi_id --whitelisted --device=/dev/%n"

in your multipath.conf and restart your multipathd those messages should go away.

The line should be in your "defaults" section of the config.
