Hi Chris,

Please see our feedback as below,
1) No, we only use in-box driver.
2) Yes, we can install OS by 14.10 first and try to update the kernel to vivid. But we did not find vivid kernel for PPC64EL under http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/v3.19-vivid/ Would you like to provide the URL for it?
