I built a Vivid test kernel with a cherry pick of commit dc45708c. Can you test this kernel and confirm it solves the bug? If it does, we can SRU it to Vivid and Wily and request it be included in the upstream stable kernels.

Note, for this test kernel you need to install both the linux-image and linux-image-extra .deb packages.
