Can someone familiar with the issue please follow the steps documented at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/StableReleaseUpdates#Procedure? In particular the user impact, test case and regression potential sections. This is to ensure that we don't unnecessarily or accidentally regress existing users.
As this is fixed in 2.4.9, this presumably affects Trusty only, so marking Fix Released in Vivid and adding a Trusty task.
