I installed the test-update repository and vsftp from there.
I get the following error:

ftp ftp://test:test@localhost
Trying ::1...
ftp: connect to address ::1: Connection refused
Trying 127.0.0.1...
Connected to localhost.
220 Welcome message
331 Please specify the password.
500 OOPS: vsftpd: refusing to run with writable root inside chroot()
ftp: Login failed.
ftp: Can't connect or login to host `localhost'
500 OOPS: priv_sock_get_cmd

Any ideas?
