The description of linux-image-3.2.0-23-generic_3.2.0-23.36_i386.deb is:

Linux kernel image for version 3.2.0 on 64 bit x86 SMP
  This package contains the Linux kernel image for version 3.2.0 on
  64 bit x86 SMP.

However, it is not true. This is the i586 version.
