Comment 81 for bug 162671

All versions of 64 bit kernels have never and will not work mainly due to sizeof long issues.

If the driver is compiled for 64 bit this patch stop the driver hanging.

At the moment the patch is only in the staging-next tree, once it is uptream I will forward to stable.
