The DKMS package works for me. Compilation from the source also worked.

Please check you have the right hardware. In my case, "lsusb -v" reports:

Bus 002 Device 002: ID 160a:3184
...
 iProduct 2 VNT USB-802.11 Wireless LAN Adapter
...
