I would like to be added as a subscriber to this bug. This finally lists people with the same type crashes/logouts I have been getting ever since I installed 12.04-x86_amd64. I also receive the same error messages. I can watch videos in 2d mode without problems-when I switch to 3d I start getting random restarts. I have tried Nvidia drivers 295.40, 295.49, 295.53, 302.07, finally 302.11. @reason just to let yu know the 30*.** drivers are in the repos. (ppa:xorg-edgers/ppa). Just last night I upgraded to Ubuntu mainstream kernel v. 3.4. No problems-with the difference that now I can watch a video for 30-45 minutes without crashing instead of 2-5 mins. Instead of reverting to the version 290.** some of you did I'm just going to stay with 2d until this gets fixed.
CPU: Intel I5-750
Mobo: Asus P7P55D-E
Ram: 'ripjaws' 1600***8gb.
HDD: Western Digital 'Caviar' 1tb.
GPU: Nvidia 9800 GT
Dual boot Ubuntu 12.04-x86_amd64 & Windows 7 Professional_x64
