The problem isn't the drivers it's the Xorg install script that overwrites and alters files that the Nvidia Binary driver relies on and then this crashes the X server. The file in question is '/usr/lib/xorg/modules/extensions/libglx.so', the X Org files need to be Vendor aware and not overwrite these types of files if Nvidia is detected...
