reverting to
X.Org X Server 1.7.7 (from stable=squeeze) xserver-xorg-core_1.7.7-14_amd64.deb and 1:7.5+8+squeeze1 with associated packages/modules (ie evdev,...)
nvidia 285
works.

it was no pain to downgrade, xserver-xorg-core does not want latest libc, and newest libs do not depend on latest xorg server.

no change on kernel (3.2.0-2-amd64) and libc (2.13-33)
