I don't see it in 3.2.0-25 and the description appears relevent - the patch applies a GPU hang fix for gen 6 (Sandy Bridge) to >= gen 6 (gen 7 including Ivy).
I don't have a hang from the session menu on our Ivy Bridge hardware. Only either random hangs - or, as mentioned, it's pretty easy to cause by quickly scrolling up and down in Google Search image results - takes up to a couple minutes. The scrolling clue came from here:

Some System76 users followed these directions and haven't seen the freezes since.
