ACPI video.c module has a new function (i.e. video_ignore_initial_backlight) that will ignore BIOS initial zero brightness; however, DMI information is needed for the quirk.

Can you please run "sudo dmidecode > dmi.log" and attach the output? Let's see if we can add entries for the system(s).
