I'm having a similar issue on a T480 with a discrete Nvidia Geforce MX150 and Intel UHD Graphics 620
Recently updated to Xubuntu 24.04 from 22.04 and now after a random amount of time purple lines appear from the bottom of the screen and then it goes black, similar to this Reddit post -
If I leave it until the display goes to sleep and then wake it, it recovers. If I attempt to interact with it, I have to force a reboot. Not doing anything specific when it happens, sometimes just streaming. Happens both connected to AC power and not
The only thing I can see that could be related in the logs is *ERROR* CPU pipe A FIFO underrun in syslog
Added intel_iommu=igfx_off to GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT - will post again if that doesn't resolve the issue
