hey guys...
As i recall.. sometime back... when the auto-hide was enabled in ccsm. unity plugin...the launcher panel would be hidden until moused over and the icons would shift position when it came out of auto-hide,,,, I may be remembering that wishfully.
Most definitely a visual bug.. and I am guessing it will be commented on by many, because most of us are not going to be using Unity at all.. especially with dual monitor set up,,, the Global menu on a dual monitor system delays work time significantly, so Unity is useless in that senario.
As an artist...this looks as though my nephew came into my computer room and purposely moved my desktop icons over to irritate me, then locked them into position.
Maybe two releases,,, Unity1 11.04 and Natty 11.04
