Bug Description
Binary package hint: bibus
Version 1.4.3.2-3 cannot finalize an OpenOffice 3.1.1 document in Ubuntu 9.10.
Bibus needs to finalize a document to convert references for example [1][2][3] to [1-3], and also to open the locked state of the reference list for manual editing. Unfortunately the version that is at the moment in the ubuntu repositories cannot do that for the current version of OO Writer in the 9.10 reposititories.
Updating to the newest version (1.5.1) fixes the problem.
The newest version of Bibus (1.5.1) available from http://
This package can be installed, for me at least, without a problem on a 9.10 Ubuntu system, so there is not really a reason to wait for the next Ubuntu release with updating the version in the repositories...

According to https:/
not be possible.
But there was a fixed version 1.4.3.2-5 available in Debian, which only
(okay, mainly) addresses this issue. It seems, nobody cared to get it
into Ubuntu. If you like, you can give it a try. For your convenience,
I attached the relevant diffs between bibus 1.4.3.2-3 and 1.4.3.2-5.
Unfortunately, I cannot assist you in this, as I am not familiar with
the Ubuntu procedures.
Good luck.
