Using the following hardware:

00:02.0 VGA compatible controller: Intel Corporation 82845G/GL[Brookdale-G]/GE Chipset Integrated Graphics Device (rev 01)

Option "AccelMethod" "UXA" will boot to graphical login prompt but is incredibly slow and not usable. Had to kill -9 X from ssh session and reboot.

Option "DRI" "false" and option "Noaccel" "true" are equally usable.
