Comment 41 for bug 233896

I'm using Intrepid Ibex with all the updates and playing video with vlc still causes ubuntu to freeze and playing it with Totem makes keyboard and mouse unresponsive -- it is possible though to switch to terminal (ctrl-alt-f1) and kill the process.
