I have tried the below steps i.e

1. Install Ubuntu 20.04
2. Enable the universe repository by #sudo add-apt-repository universe (I noticed that this was already
        enabled)
3. Install cuda drivers
4. Reboot

With this, I still see that the GUI is loading.
