OK. I'm on. It's currently deployed with bionic via maas and curtin, so
something is slightly different with disco. That feels kernel related to
me.\

I;m going to see if I can manually install disco while deployed under
18.04. Do you have the rsyslog from the host that's failing deployment? I
wonder if there might be a clue in those logs.
