client = dapper ; cupsys 1.2.0
server = hoary ; cupsys_1.1.23; HP Deskjet 3745
I had been using cupsys 1.2.0 as 1.2.2 would only print "$$" when printing anything from a client machine to the server. I set the Manufacturer: Raw and Model: Queue as per above. This didn't print anything at all but when re-setting the Manufacturer: HP and Model: Deskjet 3745 and upgrading to cupsys 1.2.2 on the client it worked! Very strange ...
