FYI - this also applies to layouts too - eg:

layout:
  "/var/lib/foo rw, /** rw,#":
    bind: "$SNAP/foo"

like in the original case for content interfaces, again the snap-update-ns apparmor profile ends up malformed but the actual snap's profile is valid.
