I tried multiple times to run the dep8 test locally with a vm, with different ubuntu releases, but they just don't work, some networking issue. From inside the container, apt just won't work. And it's not my proxy.

Perhaps we should wait to see if these packages finally pass dep8 tests in lunar? Although that could take days and days, given the state of the queues.

Do you have the error log for the failure when the container wasn't privileged? With a ppa perhaps, with only these packages for the SRU?
