There are a bunch of LSM stacking changes in 4.15.0-16 that may be the cause.

I built a test kernel with commit f14e289850b3 as the tip. The test kernel can be downloaded from:
http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~jsalisbury/lp1794067

Can you test this kernel and see if it resolves this bug?
