I reported the dup above. I can confirm this bug with the nv driver on an nVidia card, but also with *both* radeon and vesa drivers on an R250 card. (I didn't test vesa on the nVida card.)

This only seems to get triggered when the image has an alpha channel (as reported in the dup.)

XAANoOffscreenPixmaps fixed it for me on the nVidia card (didn't test on the ATI card yet, but I assume it will fix it there too).
