Comment 4 for bug 1837897

Hi Paolo - There's a recent upstream merge request that I think gets the write_len value correct. I don't think your patch species a large enough write_len. Here's the merge request:

I think that we want a mixture of your patch's compile-time conditional with that merge request's write_len calculation. Do you agree? If so, can you attach a new debdiff?
