Im not sure about what fix it , yesturday a play a bit with xrandr, today I start reading and moving to
reinstall opencrhome ,as debug .(it was already install anyways)
I hade a few erros, most of them regarding missng svn ,and other stuf regading install.

The only that take efect sudo apt-get install git-core , that seem to solve and isntall a few librarys.

I will reboot now, 1024x768 and others mode are avaible, now.

I'm running Asus M2V-MX motherboard with K8M890CE. Ubuntu 9.10. My problems also came after an upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10. I haven't yet tried a clean install of 9.10.

The patchfile "mode_set.patch" gives this error:
./mode_set.patch: line 1: Index:: command not found
./mode_set.patch: line 2: ===================================================================: command not found
./mode_set.patch: line 3: syntax error near unexpected token `('
./mode_set.patch: line 3: `--- via_crtc.c (wersja 787)'
I have tried running it in several directories after downloading the openchrome source, but always the same result.

And two other bug reports that might be duplicates:

(and.. finally, sorry for flooding to so many bugs)

I'm using an LCD-monitor and adding line "HorizSync 30.0-100.0" under Monitor-section in xorg.conf solved my resolution problem. Now there are a lot of resolution modes to choose from... Unfortunately I still have the square cursor bug (#377402).

@Nelsson
Make sure you are using the latest openchrome revision.
The latest openchrome revision is available at:
https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/lucid/i386/xserver-xorg-video-openchrome/1:0.2.904+svn812-1ubuntu1

Attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log file with line "HorizSync 30.0-100.0" and without it.
