gnubug (gnubug99) wrote : Slight delay with wacom CTL-480 and noveau drivers on external monitor

Consider the following setup:

- Thinkpad W530 with optimus (discrete gaphics nvidia Quadro K2200M)
- On docking station
- Connected to an external screen (Dell U3014, 30 inch) via DisplayPort
- Using wacom CTL-480 in xournal

When writing text with this setup I notice a minimal delay or/and minimal imprecision of the pen which makes writing annoying. Since the effect is very small, it is hard to describe, but if you write, you feel the problem.

If I switch to the laptop screen, everything works smooth. It also works smooth on the external screen if I use nvidia-340 driver instead of noveau.

Maybe there are some options I could try to make it feel smoother with noveau drivers, maybe this is a bug.
