Hi Christopher,

today I tried out the Nouveau driver again (I upgraded the BIOS about 1 month ago), unfortunately the outcome is still the same :\

I booted up with the Nouveau driver, logged in and started browsing the system: in less than one minute everything but the mouse froze up. Few more seconds and the cursor stopped moving as well.

I rebooted, I wanted to re-install the NVidia Proprietary driver back.
I logged in, opened the "Software & Updates" dialog and clicked on the Nvidia driver. Unfortunately, after about 45-60 seconds, the system froze up and blocked again.

I should mention that the keyboard was not working either, probably the entire system was blocked.
I tried to press Alt + F1 (but also F2, F3, etc...) and nothing happened.
I had an open console and tried to blindly type in "sudo reboot" and my password to reboot the system, but that didn't work either.

The output of the command you passed me is:
