[Steps to reproduce]
Boot Raring daily live ISO or install from alternate and reboot.
[Workarounds]
None Found
Failed attempts:
remove "quiet splash" from yaboot kernel appends
kernel boot parameters tried separately = video=offb:off, video=ofonly, nomodeset
create minimal xorg.conf per nouveau wiki and repeat kernel boot parameters
create minimal xorg.conf using FBDEV and repeat kernel boot parameters
increase sleep to 10 before exec lightdm in /etc/init/

[SEPARATE Issue] noted for clarity - may complicate problem on this hardware
This hardware has known "phantom / ghost" port issue on TV-1. Prior to 12.10, all that was needed to boot with nouveau KMS was video=TV-1:d. I mention as others with the same hardware, but connected via the "Apple Display Connector" port may report ability to fall back to FBDEV booting with nomodeset. That has never been the case for my hardware due to the "phantom port." Link is clarification of this SEPARATE issue. https:/
Forthcoming logs all booted with kernel appends video=TV-1:d drm.debug=0x4 plymouth:debug . "quiet splash" have been removed from yaboot kernel appends.
Thank you.
