asgard2, the fact HDMI doesn't work at all in Precise through Saucy would be a downstream (Ubuntu) only issue.

However, the issue of low FPS and graphics artifacts in Trusty is an upstream one. Could you please report this problem through the appropriate channel by following the instructions _verbatim_ at http://nouveau.freedesktop.org/wiki/Bugs/ ?
