I'm also using two monitors on the Intel i7 desktop that's freezing, AND on the AMD system that's NOT freezing. I'm not using any other monitor on the laptop, that froze once in ~3 weeks.
There are no monitors being used on the 50 servers that crash every now and then.

If we're talking about the complete freeze, without network access, I don't think it's the monitors the problem (IMO).
