okay, we have 2 bugs in 1 bug report :-)

1. Bug: Systems with Intel's Ivy Bridge and Sandy Bridge HD Graphics completely freezes (keyboard and mouse are not responsive!)

Solution: #91

2. Bug: Systems with NVIDIA- or AMD/ATi- Graphics "only" the xsession freezes (console access via CTRL+ALT+F1, etc. is possible. So please check your log files: egrep "EE|WW" /var/log/Xorg.0.log , tail /var/log/syslog , etc.)

Solution for NVIDIA: disable nouveau and install nvidia driver version 295.53-0ubuntu1~precise~xup1 from here:
https://launchpad.net/~ubuntu-x-swat/+archive/x-updates?field.series_filter=precise

Solution for AMD: #110 sry ;-)
