Comment 41 for bug 946311

Spotted the other side of the missing mutex (new code, so Daniel need not worry yet) and rebased upon dinq which now includes fixes upto -rc3.

Hopefully this will kill the spurious warning, and give us a clean drm.debug=0xe dmesg for the bug.
