Tried Xorg intel driver from maverick but no luck. Then tried maverick's kernel with both intel drivers and they work, so I think the bug is in the kernel's intel vga part, not xserver-xorg-video-intel.
However, if I press Fn-F8, tvout turns off permanently and I can't re-enable it until a reboot.
This is a Dell Latitude D530 with
