I notice there is a typo in your xorg.conf:

        Option "metamodes" "CRT-0: 1680x1050

You're missing quotes.

Also, you should include an explanation in your bug report why you're using an xorg.conf, since for this hardware you typically shouldn't need to use an xorg.conf except in specific circumstances.

Do a 'tail -f /var/log/Xorg.0.log' and check if the file grows each time the screen blanks.
